Lauren Redhead is a composer and a performer who specialises in experimental music, the interpretation of graphic, text, and other types of open notation, and in the combination of organ and electronics. She has premiered works by notable British, European and American composers and has developed a large repertoire of works written specifically for her. In 2014 she completed a tour of the UK, supported by Sound and Music.
Lauren’s music has been performed by, amongst others, Ian Pace, Rhodri Davies,
BL!NDMAN ensemble, rarescale, and the Nieuw Ensemble, at festivals such as the London Ear Festival, London Contemporary Music Festival, Marathon V in Vienna and Firenze Suona Contemporanea, and commissioned by the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, Yorkshire Forward, and Making Music and the PRSF for Music. Lauren is a Lecturer in Music at Canterbury Christ Church University.
